Cleaning for a Reason is a great nonprofit that arranges housecleaning services for patients in chemo. It’s hard to get through, but I finally did and today I got the call– I’m in! Not only that, but it’s my regular Maid Brigade service that is the one in our area who donates the cleaning. So, I get my regular cleaning team to come once a month and clean the house for free. Free! For six months. How great is that?
I have used Maid Brigade services for more than 10 years now and I really appreciate not only the great job they do, but their programs for the community. For example, this month they are collecting kid’s books for a charity. On cleaning day you can leave out new or gently used children’s books and they will collect and donate them. They do this thing all the time.
So if you need cleaning services– even just a one-time deep clean, consider calling Maid Brigade Northwest. And if you know someone going through chemo, Cleaning for a Reason is a great service for them. You can also donate there to help support their efforts. I know that cleaning the house is the last way I want to spend what little energy I have. And for people with kids, I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to keep things clean.
